Celebrating New Beginnings: Chaplains Erzkus Installed
Christ the King Chapel was packed with our LCM@WVU family: community members, colleagues and friends from throughout the West Virginia – Western Maryland Synod (and a few from different synods and denominations), alumni, current students, faculty and staff… to celebrate God’s work through the Lutheran Campus Ministry at WVU and the installation of The Revs. Ben and Courtney Erzkus as the new chaplains! Bishop Matthew Riegel (former chaplain) installed the pair, Pastor Jason Felici (alum) preached, Pastor Jess Felici led the beginning liturgy, Organist Robert Zey led us in music, Chaplain Brian Bennett (former pastor at St. Paul, Morgantown and current campus pastor of the Pittsburgh Students Active in Lutheran Ministry) served as thurifer, and many amazing current students and alum read scripture and led us in prayer. It was followed by wonderful fellowship and a mouthwatering meal of BBQ and Mac n Cheese provided by Dave & Brenda Stiles and Chaplain Ben. Thanks be to God!
